Our story
With over 25 years of experience in government and advising businesses on property developments, our founder, George Giannakodakis, determined a massive gap in the automated nature of the residential real estate database.
While Australia has an abundance of land, there is a limited resource of well-located land close to major cities. Governments across Australia have implemented varying degrees of policy measures to cater to additional population demands in the cities across the country.
The complex planning and density requirements on a state-to-state, city-to-city and even suburb-to-suburb level have resulted in a disparate process to determine how land can be subdivided and creating a market for disparate and inefficient advice to Australian residential property consumers.
George decided that this increasingly important information needed to be automated and set out to create PointData – Australia’s first data engine that automates data on residential property development.
PointData is growing its technology and data coverage across Australia with a mission to create knowledge that enhances the social and economic return of residential real estate.
